I cycled 20 minutes in the dark.  Did a 1 hour aerobics class.  Cycled home.  Showered.  Ate…quickly.  Then jumped in the car for the 30-40 min drive to work.

I was in my late 20’s. Full of get up and go energy.  But I still wondered to myself, how much longer I’d want to keep doing this BS routine!  I felt like I was always watching the clock.

Do you get that overwhelming feeling of how you’re going to get everything done in a day?

The first thing to slide in your diary…is usually your workout time.  “Oh…I’ll do it tomorrow…I’ve got too much to do…I don’t have time today!”

Spiritual teachers and even some enlightened Scientists say time is an illusion.  And it is.  The minute you’ve read this….that time has gone…never to return.  You can’t press rewind and change it.  It’s history! 

They say time is something humans have constructed to differentiate between our memories, projected thoughts and the NOW.

In fact everything you do happens in the NOW!  If you think about it like that…then you do have time!

Think you’ve got no time to workout?

The mistake of skipping your workout in favour of other things in your day, is the way you….

  • feel..
  • move..
  • breathe..
  • and the decisions you make…WON’T be as clear, sharp and as positive….as when you DO some daily intentional movement.

Make it non-negotiable!

Re-jig your diary to fit around your workout time.  It’s NOT selfish.  It’s NOT irresponsible.  And you’re NOT letting people down.

A fitter, stronger you IS a gift to anyone you come in contact with.  In your business life.  And in your personal life.

The important thing to get your head around is that you CAN do a body-changing workout in 20 minutes.  You DON’T have to drive anywhere to do it.  AND if you’re consistent you WILL change your body.

Everything about your health and fitness post 50 is about consistency.

Putting yourself first.  Showing up.  Making your body and its strength & flexibility a priority in your day.  Because if you don’t have that moving into the next 30 plus years, you’re in for a whole world of shitty times ahead!

Don’t feel like working out?  Got that niggling voice in your head coming up with every excuse under the sun why you shouldn’t be doing your workout today?  Get over it!  We all get it.  Shove that voice to the back recesses of your mind, get your gear out, set yourself up and do your workout.

Would you skip brushing your teeth in the morning? Halitosis, gum disease, people backing away from you and a large dentist bill will be the result.

Keep skipping your workouts?  Achy joints, weak stabilising muscles, poor posture from lack of core strength and flexibility, sleepy glute muscles causing lower back pain and knee issues, low energy…and the list goes on.

Just do it!

You’ll feel like a new woman in body and mind. And you’ll face everything in your day with a “I’ve got this” attitude.
